A new month, a new wallpaper :D
Wow, now that I realised it, I haven’t blogged for quite a while. Not that anybody is really bothered by the absence to begin with, heheh :P
Anyway, I’ve been up to a couple things ever since the holidays started. It’s been two weeks since and only a week left before classes start again. The recent exams were thankfully carefree ones as they were pretty much heavy on the assignments - that’s where most of my headaches tend to congregate. Thankfully, those too are pretty much taken care of, and while still on the amateur’s side of the game I earned a small chunk of bragging rights for being the best among noobs. Not a bad start, I guess.

One of the things few people know about me, is that aside from enjoying meals, I also find great pleasure in making them. Cooking, I believe, is what makes a dining experience that much more special. Today, since there was an abundance of raw ingredients at home, I decided to whip up a Shepherd’s Pie.
It’s not that hard to make, and I figured anyone with some basic common sense around the kitchen can handle this easily enough.

Mine is a happy family. No, seriously. We go on trips, talk about meaningless things, bicker, argue, scold, that sort of thing. All the good things and all the nasty things that tie a family together. It’s one luxury I’ve always been blessed with.
It’s just, I realised that I have to constantly remind myself of that fact. My family isn’t broken. My married brothers come with to visit and feast with us. The grandchildren love to play with their aunts and uncles. My parents love each other. My siblings care about each other.
I live in an ordinary family with ordinary happiness, and ordinary trials. We always have food on the table. There’s always fuel in the car. There’s always some cash in the wallet. There’s [almost] always electricity and broadband in the house. I am blessed with that.
Strangely enough, I find myself cornered by these blessings.

Small Talk:
Dettol makes for an effective, but horrendously painful aftershave solution. Ouch.
Very few things have managed to surprise me these days. I’ve been watching anime for quite a while now, and during that time, I’ve come across various animations from outside Japan [excluding America]. But this one totally swept me off my feet.
Please welcome Gacha=Gacha, Singapore’s first anime! Here’s a synopsis of the story:
Gacha-Gacha is the story of 4 girls in Singapore and the trials, tribulations, joys and events of their daily lives. Whether it’s boy trouble, school events, birthdays or shopping, these girls share all their troubles and joys together. From the lively Japanese girl Asuka, to the beauty queen Elizabeth, Joie “The Human Incinerator” or Nina, anime otaku extraordinaire, each has her own story to tell. Each day brings something new for them - following the latest fashion trend, going to a new place in town, or maybe just hanging out and chatting with each other. Let’s follow them through their exploits and adventures!
Okay, so it’ll be a comedy slice-of-life thing. However, the website kinda sucks, but I figured I should check it out anyway, so I browsed to the Characters page. Imagine my shock upon seeing this;

I browsed my music archives and found my 1GB collection of Metallica sitting right there, all the way from 1982 right up to St. Anger. I smirked a bit at the irony, and fired up Fade to Black. Thinking its a good one, I tossed it to my buddy over Messenger. Sitting as you see the day break into a parade of lights around you, with blazing guitar chords and kickass beats… makes for quite an awesome morning.
Long live Metallica.
