Small Talk:
Whenever you’re in doubt, lubricate. Will story more about it some other time.

October 2008 is equivalent to Syawal 1429. As such, its only natural that pics coming from this month would mostly be about Aidilfitri. So, without any further ado, as promised, here are some of those pictures from Hari Raya.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes, everyone! I was so happy to hear from you :D

I met up with imBApeh and Vanila and they helped to take care of my stuff while I was doing rounds shooting [thanks, guys!]. Then when crowds have really massed up on the field, I decided to find a perch where I can get a good view of the speakers.

Small Talk:
Apparently my spam filter have been catching a lot of non-spam comments, especially from the last 2-3 postings. I wonder if my settings were too strict.

Today is probably the first time Malaysians officially celebrated Malaysia Day en masse. I went to MBPJ Stadium at Kelana Jaya because I was feeling trigger happy and I figured I could pop a couple of good shots there. And boy was it a sight.

I arrived early, somewhere around 6 PM. I decided to come early so I could survey the area, estimate exposure, arrange compositions and pretty much the usual things people do on recon missions [I believe after going to similar events a couple more times, recons will become unnecessary]. There wasn’t much going on, in fact the crowd only started coming in around 7 PM. Thankfully there was a restaurant that served some pretty good food and helped myself to a bowl of Sup Gearbox [cow knee soup] for buka puasa.

After that I went inside to check things out a bit.

It’s been a while since I posted any pictures, so here’s nice big bunch of ‘em! :D

So yesterday I went to Bon Odori 2007, and this would mark my third time attending the festival. I figured that if I was going to drive there, I might as well go early and get myself a convenient parking spot. Last year was a total horror as I had to make a long trip around the entire freaking stadium and park at some back alley. I decided to go early, so affter lunch, about 3 PM, I drove to Shah Alam and arrived at The Matsushita Sports Centre [aka Panasonic Sports Centre] somewhere around 3.15 PM.

It was a hot and sunny day, but I found myself a nice resting spot under the shade of palm trees and where the wind blows a nice cool torrent of air.

..is a song by Enigma that doesn’t get aired. On local radio. I doubt it ever will. I’ve been addicted to it. For the past few days. Why am I writing in short sentences? Oh no. I’ve lost a precious ability. To write in long elaborate sentences. Usually it would make me sound real smart. Then again, writing like this. Hmm, it’s quite fun.

Meh.

It was a beautiful day outside. Windy with lots of puffy, shady clouds. It wasn’t too hot or too bright. So I took a walk with my camera. I was walking by a house that is under renovation. I spotted this little black butterfly. It was licking off the sands. Maybe licking for salt.

I just wanted to put in this picture because I don’t have anything to write about. Wait, I do, actually. A story, in fact. And it’s uh,…a somewhat heroic tale. Sort of. I think. But I think I’ll hold it and write about that some other time :p
