The Silent Room

I listened to them as they went on and on about how so many things just don’t seem very exciting anymore. Clubbing isn’t fun anymore. Playing games isn’t fun anymore. Sports is too much of a hassle. Travelling costs too much money.

I have a wonderful set of 5.1 surround speakers. I use it to watch videos that have 5.1 audio because it is fucking awesome. When you have quality speakers that you spent good money on, you want to blast it and feel the vibrations in your bones. In this house, if I want to vibrate my bones, I’ll end up vibrating the skeletal frames of everyone in this house because the Altec Lansing subwoofer is simply too damn awesome.

Being at that reunion, I felt like an outsider. A tourist in an aloha shirt looking at a bleak, monotonous country, filled with predictable and repititive routines. Like I’m watching Cerekarama on a black and white TV set. Like drinking sugarless Teh-O Ais.
