The Silent Room

I guess I’ve been exhausted doing a whole lot of nothings. In fact, a lot of things that used to please me just don’t do anything for me anymore. For starters, I haven’t really had the mood to go out and do some random photography, as many have suggested.

Games don’t really do much other than just pass the time. Somehow I’ve been deriving very little satisfaction from them, even if it was a nice and heated-up competitive set of good old Counterstrike. I completed the new Prince of Persia, unlocked all the skins, and gathered all 1001 light seeds. There’s probably a couple more achievements like the Biggest Combo thing but I couldn’t be bothered.

Anime has been terrible, as far as fansubs are concerned. Speedsubbers with crappy language, and all the other groups picking up nothing but utter crap like eroge adaptations and fanservice harem, flooding the torrent pages like bile spilling out of a smouldering cauldron. All the good shows have either been slow, dropped or not even picked up.

My car. Oh, that silver Proton Saga has seen better days. I’m probably the worst owner ever. After flushing over a decade’s worth of crap from the radiator, changed the battery and now I’m getting pegged about the torn seats and a dented front bumper. Birds are still shitting on it as though they’re trying to make it a white Christmas.

Food, well. I’ve been trying to lose weight so I’ve been watching the amount of carbs I take everyday. I take a lot of meat and fish, though. Helps to compensate the lack of starch. At least I still get to enjoy diet soda. I’m supposed to get some supplements to complement the gym routine, but there seems to be a shortage in stock so I haven’t been able to get my hands on any.

Then, there’s my phone. *groans*

This thing right here, I even forgot what model it is. Let me check, oh it’s… a Nokia 3120. I’ve used it since, uh… I forgot. 2004? I haven’t had that many phones, so yeah, this one is quite old. So, now, its speakers are dead. It won’t ring, it just vibrates. Guess it’s telling me to get a new phone. I’m not really big on the handphones so telling me to get a 3G phone or an iphone is pretty damn pointless simply because I don’t feel like forking out the cash for all that glitter. For all you know, it might just get stolen from through window. *cough*

Speaking of windows, I had just formatted Luna. The problem is, this particular installation of Windows comes with all sorts of crap – like the Vista shell. I mean, what the fuck? I want my bloody XP icons, screen saver and logon UI, damn you!

Perhaps the only thing that has yet to let me down is books. Books and manga, to be precise. Just last week I bought Black Lagoon volume 3, along with my third GITS novel. Also, I bought a book aptly titled Beef. Supposedly its the story of how milk, meat and muscle shaped the world. To give you an idea what the book is like, it was not shelved in the ‘Food’ section, but rather the ‘World History’ section over at Borders. I should also point out that I noticed the book was launched at that store in Deepavali. Well, you should figure out the rest of that story.

Oh. Also, I have a craving for an extra large Domino’s pizza with lots of meat on it [it's called Meat Mania, last I checked]… but I’m broke. If you would be kind enough to donate RM1.00 to me, and get another 30 people to do the same, I be happy to use my Domino card and get a large pizza which I will gladly bestow upon you for your efforts.
