I truly appreciate that. I feel that us Muslims need to look in the mirror and take a reality check. Islam is practicality and today all we do is blindy except ideas and verdicts that dont seem to fit with alot of our inner souls

Interesting article. There’s alot of shit happening in the world today and most of it is blamed on religion particularly islam. But its not religion that is to blame is those fools who use it as a tool for their own benefits and agenda. Religion doesn’t hurt, kill or maim people. Brainwashed dumb asses do.

The scary part is, some people say that even if you read one page of the Quran but you don’t understand it, it’s ok cause you’re still LOOKING at the Quran. That, apparently, is for the illiterates.

I agree it is pointless to read the Quran without understanding the Arabic text. Translation will be of great help but nothing beats the expression in the original language. Often, the context is lost in translation and as a result, we have misinterpretations. Try translating an idiom in English to Malay :)

Arabic is not a dead language. You can learn it :)

Silencers: You are absolutely correct [although language isn't the issue being discussed here]. Misinterpretations are a big issue, and it’s a major factor in the division of beliefs among Muslims worldwide. Arabic is a beautiful language, it’s just that I’m the one who couldn’t bring myself to learn it. Don’t bother asking me why, LOL.
