Old School Mornings

May 8th, 2008

I didn’t really sleep last night, so I woke up, made some breakfast and checked my morning news feed. After reading up a few, an old friend chatted me up. We talked for a while and then he asked;

Justin: btw u have any old school rock songs to recommend?
Me: old school?
Me: lemma check
Me: guns n roses - november rain

Justin: u know led zeppelin, metallica, bon jovi, scorpions
Justin: i have most of GnR popular songs
Me: jiwang gila
Justin: jiwang gila?
Me: ive lots of metallica, but i assume you’ve got plenty
Justin: well i only have enter sandman
Justin: lol
Me: lol really?

I browsed my music archives and found my 1GB collection of Metallica sitting right there, all the way from 1982 right up to St. Anger. I smirked a bit at the irony, and fired up Fade to Black. Thinking its a good one, I tossed it to my buddy over Messenger. Sitting as you see the day break into a parade of lights around you, with blazing guitar chords and kickass beats… makes for quite an awesome morning.

Long live Metallica.

Metallica is one of those bands that really make sweet music from noise….it drives you….unlike music nowadays…all targeted at the mainstream pop n black hiphops…puik

And suddenly everyone listens to Black Sabbath, I wonder why.

    heh

Silencers: Meh. Am not really a fan of BS.

  4. Ganaesh Says:

@Asyraf: Two words: IRON MAN. Suddenly everyone’s an expert on Black Sabbath. Meh.

Silencers: Are we saying that Black Sabbath is riding piggyback on THE GREAT TONY STARK? Sounds plausible enough to me.
