The coming of Syawal this year has been one that is significantly different than the ones I’ve had in the past. Lots of little occurences that have sparked bits and pieces of imagination in my head. It’s been a while since I left the blog stagnating, mainly because I was either busy, or I didn’t have anything nice to write about.
Repetitive mundane routines and a monotonous pace of life does not a good story make. Any experienced blogger worth his/her penny will definitely agree to that. Therefore, for lack of a decent story to share with you, it’s time for another session of random bits of pieces of tales from an otherwise boring and platonic life.
I balik kampung to Kuala Kangsar, Perak, my dad’s hometown, 2 days before Hari Raya, thinking that we would be able to escape from being stuck in traffic before the floodgates of KL society unleashes its fury upon us. We were pleasantly surprised to find that while the roads aren’t all that empty, it wasn’t all that congested either.
When the other relatives arrived the following days, they related to us that their journey wasn’t as bad as they had expected. It seems that KL citizens have become somewhat organized in a sense that they disperse themselves out of the city across a period of three days, resulting in heavy, yet speedy traffic throughout all the pre-Raya days.
Almost surprising, really.
