“Many may say I am wrong, as there are many other factors that make a person commit crime, and I agree with that. But video games have greatly influenced our values and swayed some into believing that fantasy is reality. There is nothing better to sway the young mind than a video game.”
- a letter to The Star.
Shift the blame, shift the blame! Keep passing the stupid ticking bomb until it fucking explodes in the scapegoat’s hands and blow up everyone else in the circle. Why the fuck do you even bother?
This is a big problem with Malaysians. Nobody wants to admit their own dumb mistakes. Nobody wants to sound like an idiot - while being well aware that they are more than that. Nobody wants to say “Oh damn, I screwed up. Let me fix that for you.”
At least, not anybody from the last generation, and definitely none of the cockeyed jackals from the noisy and leaky hall that is our Parliament.
Bocor? Oh, that’s not our fault. That’s the plumber’s fault.
Lies? Oh, that’s not our fault. That’s the bloggers’ fault.
Undi Rosak? Oh, that’s not our fault. That’s the voters’ fault.
Mat Rempit? Oh, that’s not our fault. That’s rock music’s fault.
Serial Rapists? Oh, that’s not our fault. That’s pronography’s fault.
Murders? Oh, that’s not our fault. That’s GTA, CounterStrike, and Time Crisis‘ fault.
Violence? Oh, that’s not our fault. That’s Die Hard, Transformers and Saw’s fault.
Dying patriotism? Oh, that’s not our fault. That’s Negarakuku’s fault.
Apostasy? Oh, that’s not our fault. That’s Yasmin Ahmad’s fault.
Herpes? Oh, yeah, that’s right. Now THAT one’s our fault. Okay, here’s a few thousand bucks, please don’t blog about it because if you do we will brand you as unpatriotic and charge you with treason against the country.
Pleading innocence is one thing, getting a scapegoat is another. You say I shouldn’t be complaining and that I should change things by voting in the next election. VOTE FOR WHO?
Both sides are fucked up.
Both sides just wanna win for their own racist agendas.
For the record, my loyalty lies with Malaysia. By Malaysia, I mean this beautiful land upon whose bosom I was born and have fed upon, and the people who make its soil full of life and spirit.
I have no loyalty for old geezers who bitch and moan and bicker like children arguing over whose Digimon is stronger.
I have no loyalty for blame shifters and hate-mongers.
I have no loyalty for propagandists, truth hiders and blatant liars.
I have no loyalty for traffic-shaping ISPs.
I have no loyalty for people who serve in the Government only for their own bloody interests.
What am I loyal to, then?
My loyalty lies with the two people who have raised and cared for me since birth.
My loyalty lies with the men and women who tirelessly spent years educating me through the crappy education system.
My loyalty lies with the delicious foods from the multitude of cultures that coexist here.
My loyalty lies with the people who earn an honest living, who work to earn money so they can feed their families.
My loyalty lies with the people who acknowledge the fact that this country isn’t the best in the world, but still dedicate their efforts to improve it.
My loyalty lies with Malaysia and Malaysians.
The elections are near. Where do YOUR loyalties lie?
