The Silent Room

Lately I’ve been involved with club activities and keeping myself busy with assignments. My interaction with people, ironically, has been at an all-time low. Especially with my own classmates, although I think it’s only a matter of time before I get to blend in with them. I’ve yet to find anyone with similar wavelengths that I can sync myself to. As such, I don’t really have as much stories to tell or ideas to talk about as I normally would.

However, it bugs me that my blogging pace has been disturbed, so I decided to write a little bit, just for the sake of keeping to the routine :D

I think I’ve really begun to look back for old media, anime and music, specifically. I’m done with Escaflowne [will probably write about that one of these days], and I still have some 6 or so episodes of Evangelion to finish downloading and watch. Right now, I’m grabbing myself some Goldenboy [the OVA] and Patlabor [TV series]. Now that I watched the first episode of the latter, I vaguely remember watching it on RTM many, many years ago. I forgot whether it was a Malay or English dub, though. I think it was the former. Hmm.

As for music, I’ve been going back wayyy further. Setting aside the Orbital discography and a big collection of late 90′s trance music, right now, I’m downloading something, much much older. Believe it or not, I’m currently listening to Frank Sinatra. Yeah, ALL of his songs. All 6 GB of em. Why, you ask? I was reading up an article on Wikipedia about Fly Me To The Moon when I suddenly felt like, Damn, I wanna listen to Sinatra. So yeah.

I’m setting up plans for a Free Hugs Campaign here. All I need is a guy with a camcorder, and some video editing skills. I’m thinking of locations where there are a lot of civilised and open-minded people passing by, i.e. recreational parks, The Curve, Bintang Walk, etc.

I honestly think KFC should serve the coleslaw and mashed potatoes in bigger portions. Why so stingy on that kind of stuff? And serve Diet Pepsi, too. If McDonald’s can serve Coke Light with free refills, why not KFC, right?

I don’t know if you read this blog or not, but I think you’re really cute. Unfortunately, I also think you’re a bit of an airhead, but I’d like to prove myself wrong by learning a bit more about you. The thing is, god…DAYMN! Your superficial conversations with your friends are such a turn off sometimes that the thought of chatting you up instantly vanishes into thin air because I have no idea what to talk about with you.

What a shame.
