I Think I Broke My Upper Jaw…
May 11th, 2007…using my lower jaw. Sounds weird, I know. But to have such a thing happen in your own mouth is even weirder.
Well, to be precise, it’s not really my upper jaw that’s broken. I think it’s a piece of cartilage at the hinge between the upper and lower jaw. Allow me illustrate my point further with a diagram. See the cheekbone that I highlighted in red?
As you can see from the diagram, that was what happened…I think. I was just yawning when I heard this sudden CRACK sound from inside my left cheek. It hurt a bit, a slight stinging pain every time I open my mouth. There’s also a weird bone or cartilage that sticks out a bit whenever I move my jaw.
There was no outward movement on my right cheekbone, so I figured something must have broken or something. Hmm, weird things always seem happen to me, apparently. I wonder if this is a subtle way of my body telling me to just STFU?
And for the record, I’m okay, and I can talk, eat and curse just fine :p Thanks for asking.

I used to experience that all the time when I was in secondary school. I counter it by keep moving my jaw, as if I was munching something. So far it works.
Note : No don’t try it, I think yours is a different case.

i think it’s called tmj..look it up..i once had it haha…it feels like the ball that interconnect ur jaw and ur head skull juz …u know…moves when u open or close ur mouth izit?
i duno how to cure..apparently there’s none..hehe…it juz one fine day miraculously gone :P
