Oh, Hello, Mr. Lethargic!

January 19th, 2007

leth·ar·gy (l?th’?r-j?)
n., pl. -gies.

1. A state of sluggishness, inactivity, and apathy.
2. Fazri’s regular (or irregular) mood swing. Which is, like, right now.

Guess this whole issue about me going through this lethargic phase is like a sinusoidal mood pattern or something. Allow me to describe what I’m currently feeling at this moment: bored as hell, and I don’t feel like doing anything at all.

It’s like a big sponge just wrapped itself around me and sucked up any excitement and enthusiasm that would usually drive me into doing spectacularly ridiculous things [like writing a science fiction story] or cook up a weirdly delicious bachelor meal or go out on a photography spree. Heck, I’m so out of juice I can’t even blog properly!

I have yet to find a real cure for this ‘disease’ but I do hope it goes away soon. I wish my hands were itchy to do something, but they’re not. And my mind is practically blank, empty of anything that’s worth anything. It’s like if I were to even say anything, it would probably be:

a) too freaking obvious
b) too freaking pointless
c) too freaking dull

Might as well keep my mouth shut. I’d pull my hair in a hissy fit of rage and boredom, but I’m actually trying to grow it a bit longer. Come to think of it, I’m not even in the mood to pull my hair.

Blearghh… it’s not like I’ve got too much free time on my hands, either. I’ve got a couple of jobs to work on, I’ve got a pile of things in my ‘To Do’ list. But somehow, I’ve been lacking the drive to do any of them. If it’s one thing to blame, I think it’s the lack of fansub releases of the anime I’ve been watching lately.

Black Lagoon has lowered its curtains a few weeks back.

Avatar: The Last Airbender, too.

So has Honey and Clover 2. But that was SO last year.

Some fansubs are taking their sweet time subbing a couple things.

Live-Evil
has decided to quit subbing Death Note due to licensing in America [curse you for strong-arming fansubbers!], and other [quality] subbers have been rather slow.

Neither Ayu, nor Shinsen has been subbing Jigoku Shoujo 2 since episode 6.

Arienai is on hiatus, and nobody else has been subbing Hataraki Man.

Lunar is probably giving higher priority on other series, considering the minimal attention they gave to Asatte no Houkou and Bartender. I can, however, depend on their kind of quality releases so I wouldn’t mind waiting.

Witchblade is still slow as ever – no complaints there, it’s to be expected.

My Dragon Ball Z torrents have been strangely slow for the past few weeks, too. Oh yes, I’m just one batch torrent away from completing an entire set.

I’m not in the mood to watch any new anime, too. At least, not yet. There are a few titles that I’m still looking for. Classics like Evangelion, Ah! My Goddess, to name a few. There are supposedly more sequel seasons and OVAs coming up.

The first fansub release of the Genshiken OVA is out.

I haven’t heard any news, but I’m expecting a School Rumble Term 3

I’m also still waiting waiting for Avatar Book 3.

Damn. I just read the whole text and I just realised I’ve been raving all the way and making completely no sense at all. Guess that’s what a blog is for, huh?

Ganaesh says:

Bartender is already up to episode 8, and there’s four more to go.
Avatar Book 3 will be coming out in March.
I would consider Hataraki Man dead, since no-one else is subbing it.
And I’m running out of anime to download, so I’m downloading Fushigi Yugi right now.
And have you downloaded Ghost Hunt yet?

Haih, I wish the new trimester would start sooner.
Bosan, bosan…

I usually felt like that when I watched too many pr0n. XD
I’m expecting School Rumble Term 3 as well. Gah!
