Staring at the Half Moon

September 11th, 2006

Staring at the half-moon
I wondered why it glowed like so
Clouds passing by stained with lights maroon
The stars and the moon gracefully glow

Staring at the half-moon
As the night breeze tickled my skin
I realised that time flew by so soon,
But memories continued to resonate from within.

Staring at the half-moon
I raised my chin up the sky
A nightingale sings a silent tune
As if calling for me to fly

Staring at the half-moon
I began to sink deeper and deeper
I spotted a drifting balloon
It just went higher and higher

Staring at the half moon
Its glow bathed me with a sudden calm
Oh, this light would go away soon
If only I could grasp it in my palm

Staring at the half-moon
I forgot why it glowed like so
Gone are the clouds stained with lights maroon
The time has come for me to go.
