Sights On A Wedding

August 19th, 2006

I attended a relative’s wedding not too long ago. I was testing out the S3IS that day. I have to admit that it suffers from TERRIBLE noise at ISO800 for any decent printing. However, some of the pictures did turn out pretty well, but with less favourable compositions. I hate poorly lit halls. Hate them, hate them, HATE THEM!!

It just makes me wish for a proper SLR with a fast tele lens and a slave flash that I can diffuse. More photos after the jump :)

Yes, I know, the last image is TERRIBLY wasted due to high noise. She’s a really lovely lady with a bright smile. How unfortunate it is that I have failed to capture it, sigh…

ya man….poor lighting in huge halls are photographer killer

Silencers: Hahah, you think a good SLR kit is cheap ah? A kit that I’d want would cost at least 5K okay?

kris says:

yeah, the last pic is lovely. The expression on “oh, really” is nice, too.

Nirah says:

Ah the glory of noise.

._. Can so feel your pain, man.
Now I want my old not so great Nikon back.

It’s old, slow, but I don’t care.
Want it back uwaaaaaa~!

Fird says:

Somehow, the “mhmm uhuh” photo have this very sarcastic look, it’s like “riiiiiiiiiiiggggggggggghhhhhhhhhttttttttt….”. Maybe it’s just me.

Silencers: Yes, exactly that impression, lol.
