Overheard at an in-campus food joint:

Girl: You know OJ, Makkah is awesome! I just got back from there a few weeks ago, and oh God I really couldn’t believe my eyes!
OJ: What did you see?
G: I was walking around the Masjidil Haram courtyard and I found myself stunned as I saw a glimpse of heaven
OJ: Oh?
G: Right there, smacked right in front of Kaabah, a huge signboard that says ‘XXXL Swiss Mushroom Cheeseburger, only at Burger King‘ - right on top of a HUGE Burger King outlet!
OJ: Well, you have Burger King, here, too, so what’s the big deal?
G: Yeah, but you won’t get a XXXL sized burgers here. And its a fast-food outlet outside of Malasyia that’s SURELY halal!!

Wow. Makes me feel like going for an Umrah already.

note: Girl is a local Malay while OJ appears to be a middle-eastern guy, probably from Iran or Jordan. MMU happens to take in quite a number of students from the Middle East countries, some even run their businesses here. Their kebabs are divine, I’ll remember to write about that later ;)
