I have been using 2 different webcoutners throughout past 12 months, and both haven’t been able to give me what I wanted to see. I wanted a simple clear display of how many unique visitors I get daily, how they got here, and where in The Room did they visit. Preferably ones that have graphs that can easily be tuned to fit what I want to see. You know, like I want to see what the trend was for the past week or month.
I started with GoStats, and originally it was okay until it went into a whole week of craziness, and eventually it transformed into something that’s become really confusing. However, what pissed me off about GoStats is that they give me those fucking pop-up ads. So, I got rid of it. I then switched to OneStat. It seems like OneStats doesn’t haev pop-ups or anything, but it’s graphs are really rigid and basically, they don’t give me what I want.
I then Googled and found Statcounter. I decided to give it a shot, and boy-oh-boy, it gave me exactly what I wanted. In simple and clear formats, too. However, it only logs the latest 100 visits. And some features span only to the past 24 hours. Of course, I was very happy. After almost a month, it seems like it meets my expectations nicely. [If it's about my statistics you're wondering about, unlike you who gets an average of well over 100 unique visits daily, I only get a measly 50-something average :p]
So, if you’re just starting your blog, or planning to change counters, get Statcounter. It’s the easiest to use and definitely the best one I have used so far! ;)
