Boss treated us pizza for lunch today, and it was a lot of fun hearing him talking about how pizza should really be [he's american]. There was a brainstorm session earlier this morning, and he did promise us pizza when he announced it.

It rained heavily on the way home, and that pleases me greatly. It stopped when I reached home, leaving the air with dampness and cool breeze.

Went online for a while, and decided that it’s such a nice weather outside. The clock struck 5, and I went for a jog. My thighs don’t hurt anymore! Progress! Whoohoo!! Also I felt a bit less tired when I completed the round compared to the last 2 sessions. If I keep this up I should be able to circle the whole neighbourhood with little problems :D I’m beginning to enjoy this.

Chilled and took a break, and surfed for abit. Oh lookie, Full Metal Panic the Second Raid? Wooo new season preview! It was a quick download, but it looked very promising. I still think Fumoffu was better made than FMP. Oh well, that’s another series to look forward to.

Later at night I went to MMU to do a shoot on some capoeira action. I’m looking for a subject to test high-shutter and ISO speeds. Aw, damnm forgot my tripod clip and spare batteries! But I got to learn how to play this instrument, I don’t know what it’s called. It’s a piece of bent bamboo, with a piece of wire attached tightly at both end to look like a bow. It makes a cool tongg tongg tongg sound. Funky shit to play when you got capoeristas doing their thing in front of you.

It’s late, and time to head home. The moon was bright, but the sky was starless. I think it’s going to rain again next morning.

Life is Good. And it’s been quite a while since I said that ;)

I decided to go liquid this time around. I call this new theme, inVersion. Simply because I inverted the colours from the previous theme :p

As you can see, this is the refurbished look of The Silent Room, after a good few days of reconstruction, with lots of help from plenty of sources. However, the person who contributed the most to this template is none other than Edrei aka Kamigoroshi, who has patiently and selflessly taught me plenty of CSS vocabulary and the works. Once again, I’ll buy you a meal next time we see each other ;)

As for changes, unless you haven’t noticed it yet…
- I replaced most of the JPGs with PNGs, for experimental purposes. Hopefully it loads faster.
- Going black and white, down from the shades of grey from the previous ‘in Monochrome’ theme
- Replaced the unreliable Tagboard with Saybox
- Restuctured the style sheet, so it’s a lot less messier than it was, previously.
- Changed from fixed width style to liquid style, just for experimental purposes.
- The header stretches! lol. Try resizing your window’s width. It’s nothing spectacular really, I just think that it’s a lot of fun.

Of course these includes all the previous updates including
- Metempsychosis comments hack
- Updated favourites
- Redesigned hiding toggles

:::::::::

I hope you like the new look [why did you have to say black is a no-no, Lilian? :/] of the Room. Do leave some shoutouts on the Saybox yea!

The alarm buzzed loudly, just as I wanted it to. 7.00 AM. Sigh, here’s for the last push. I wasn’t really looking forward to my optics paper, seeing as how low my carrying marks were. Nonetheless, I did study as much as I could throughout the whole semester, but I was unable to absorb plenty of the concepts and was pretty frustrated about that ever since the midterm paper some 5 weeks ago.

The paper starts at 9, but I left at 7.45 so I can beat the jam at Mines, which I did ;) As I was wallowing in depression thinking about how horrible my results would turn up because of this one subject, I felt something different about Boy. He was tilting abit to the right.

I didn’t really mind it at first, but after a while I heard a suspicious ‘fwap fwap fwap fwap’ sound that rubber usually makes when slapping against something hard. It can’t be…. After passing the UPM exit, I pulled over to see what’s wrong.

Boy has a flat rear right tyre.

I was this *puts thumb and index finger together* close to yelling out FUCK! but I realized that that waste of breath wouldn’t inflate the tyre back up. At that point I was more than frustrated. I was pissed as hell. Especially with things other than academic issues.

So, I just did what any red-blooded man would. Flicked the boot open, took out the jack and crossbar, and started to work on Boy. I’ll relate to you first hand that a screw-type jack is the most tedious piece of equipment to work with. I wish I had one of those lever-type jacks. Trying to lift the car just an inch above the ground feels like forever!

And then came the fun part. I was starting to feel like a pit-stop mechanic, except that I was well over a 100 times slower. All the while I kept looking at my watch.

8.35,
phew, done.

Good thing I had a fully-inflated spare tyre, otherwise I would have been really pwned. So remember kids, always make sure your car has the equipment in case shit happens. I reached MMU around 8.50, just nice to get myself seated. Now,… where’s my venue.. ah, R4007.

I quickly ran into FOE and hit the lift button. Got myself to the third floor, and started counting. Now where’s 4007,…4007,…4007,…4007,… But I couldn’t find it. 8.58. Shit. I finally found an R4007 which was… a lecturer’s room.

She laughed at me, that lecturer, before telling me that I’m in the wrong building. It was at the FCM building. I was cursing in my heart all the way. Of all venues possible, Optics? At FCM? What the bloody fuck?

9.15, and I finally got myself seated. It was then I noticed the whiteboard.

What the.. Creative Expression? Now, my friend, this is what I mean when I said that the divine hand is trying to say ‘You fucked up. Make sure this doesn’t happen again’. I happen to know someone who is taking her Creative Expression paper today. Could it be…?

I tell you, irony is just being funny with me.
