Why don’t you comment on this post? I hope you find it at least a bit interesting :) Thanks to Edrei for the intro and helping me fix a few things.
As you can see, I’m no longer using Haloscan’s comment system. Yes, I’m running on Blogger’s one. However, you don’t have to go through the few pages of signing into blogger, go through a few pages more. Okay, I admit, Haloscan is a lot more convenient since it opens up a new window and you don’t have to go to the permalink. But hey, PPS directs you straight to the permalink, anyway.
The difference between Haloscan and Blogger’s comments, as was told to me, is that Haloscan deletes the old comments when you hit your account quota. Blogger, does not. So, okay, I do have quite a lot of comments on my Haloscan. But I plan to carry this blog further and I hope the comments won’t fade out. I find this to be very useful in the future.
So, there you go. If you want to know more, just go here. Good luck!

I’ve read everywhere how clerics are going about the God-is-angry-hence-tsunami-came-to-pwn-the-fools issue. Also read a few blogs stnading up against their remarks. Coincidentally, I just finished watching .hack//SIGN, a very cool anime set in the world of an MMORPG. Simply put, the story is about a mysterious event that turns ‘The World’ [the title of the MMORPG] chaotic. And then there was a quote that rang a bell in my head.
‘The Creator of The World, or should I say: God, sometimes resets The World. Certain locations has to be reconstruced to correct what was wrong so that order and balance is maintained, and The World runs at its proper course’
However, there have been some suspisicious reports about the quake site. It is said that the spot is ground zero for nuclear weapons testing. Is this true? Can anyone verify this for me? If it is, then the quake isn’t so much an act of God.
‘Man is granted power to shape the world around him. Thus it is given to him the responsibilty to keep and restore order in his World.’
- an uncle of mine, speaking about pollution.
Sure the quake is caused by the movement of tectonic plates. Why do they move? Instability? Why is it unstable? Could the numerous nuclear explosions caused it? If so, Man would have completely lost his right to complain about the disaster he caused with his own hands.
Until you think about the fact that the most of the world has no longer made God welcome anymore. People are driving out God from their lives, from their homes.Until you think about the fact that people tell God ‘We don’t want you. We don’t need your blessing. We can do everything ourselves. You’re no longer needed.’ Or to quote a scientist: ‘We should not let a divine footprint beyond our doors’
Simply put, if you make God absolutely unwelcome, then don’t blame God if any disaster hits you, or anyone for that matter.
- Patrick [a.k.a. Elberal]
I couldn’t have said it better.
How much does God influence you? Your actions? Your words? Your judgement? Do you remind yourself of him? How often? In bad times? What about good times? Do you count your blessings? Think honestly, what is the distance between you?
I don’t mean to judge you or anyone of your spiritual self. What I want to point out is, look in the mirror before you start pointing fingers. I’m not much of a religious person myself. In fact, I’m a horrible muslim. I swear a lot while I tell people how Islam promotes kindness of words. I break out in anger when Islam promotes strength in patience. But I do constantly remind myself that I’m here, doing what I’m doing, because God has granted me His mercy, blessing and permission. Otherwise, anything I would do would fail.
So for you clerics, if you so happen to have a mind that is open to ideas, and not cooped up in that coconut shell of yours to mind whatever’s on this humble grey matter of mine. Open your eyes. The earth quaked. The ocean roared. People have died. Lands torn asunder. Stop blaming people.
There is a reason why God gave us all 2 ears and only 1 mouth.
- Hyelbaine
Hear the cries for help. People don’t have the time and resources to keep up with all your blaming, flaming and finger-pointing.
If you even at least care abt what has happened, do something. At least do what over 500,000 malaysians did [10 cheers for Malaysia!], simply sending an SMS donation. What’s imediately more important is not to look at why things went wrong, but rather how to correct what is wronged.
Enough about the clerics. Let’s move back to us common people. What are these people thinking, donating unusable clothes. I think the worst insult these terror-stricken people could get is being donated with a fucking torn bra. I mean, you sick donkey-fucker! Those poor people are losing their hopes to continue living and you give them a fucking torn bra!?
My god. So now, as heard on radio, seen on TV, and printed on papers nationwide, these victims need:
- drinkable bottled water [their water supply is polluted due to the wreckage]
- dry foodstuff [powdered milk for the babies, flour perhaps?]
- canned food [especially proteins such as sardines and/or beans]
- tents, blankets, cookware [homes were destroyed in the tens of thousands]
- cash
Cash is the easiest to donate. You can do it via SMS [I'm not sure if the service is still up], there were ads everywhere. Most donation centres are not acepting clothes anymore.
If you are upset by the current situation, you might want to do something about it. If you really are that is. If you’re not going to do anything, STFU and let other people do what they can to help.
