Wow. What a long day. Did quite a lot of stuff today, pretty tired now. Started off with a boring morning taking out the laundry. Got some downloads running and off to town, set to accomplish a few things, including setting up a small LAN for home and sampling a certain coveted cheese naan. Grocery list for the day was:
- 5 port switch
- LAN cables, 10 and 5 metres
- Painkiller DVD Edition
- 100pc/pack CD holders
- DVD and CD file
- USB extension cable

Wonderful day. Nobody to drive me to town. No car for me to drive myself to town. Fine, so I took the bus to Pudu STAR station. Changed to the monorail line at Hang Tuah and got off at Imbi.

Low Yat is so much fun. I got everything I need under an hour. Though the plan was to have cheese naan, I was tempted to try some ramen downstairs. But the cheese naan got the better of me, so I took the trains to Masjid Jamek to hunt for a Restoran Ahameedia. Oh, joy! When I reached the HSBC building behind the station, I came upon a cendol vendor! Stopped by for a drink [believe me when I say a bowl of cendol with shredded ice is heavenly on a sweltering hot day in KL] and later continued to the place where the cheese naan got Albert going gaa-gaa over it everywhere he went. After sampling it, I wasn’t surprised that it gave Albert’s brain a severe system glitch that it did. It really IS good. And for RM3.50, I’m heading there again for it tomorrow with Dustyhawk for lunch [ohisashiburidesne? lol].

Came home, tired. But I made up my mind not to rest until I got the network issue fixed. So, I set up the cables, pulled out a small stoll by the phone, and got to work on the modem. After about half an hour of walking here and there, meddling with cables [they didn't quite reach so I had to lay them desperately on the floor], flicking switches and messing with computers at opposite ends of the house, I finally got it running smoothly.

I was satisfied, happy. I felt fulfilled. It’s been quite a while since I felt so proud of myself. I felt that I can finally see the look in their faces. Those arrogant yet ignorant people who blame ME for anything [I'm not shitting you, ANYTHING] that goes wrong around the house. I wanna see their scrummy faces when they have to admit what I’m capable of. I want to to hear what they’re gona say when they had to swallow their own words.

[flashback]
If anything, I really hate it when total n00b idiots tell me that whatever that’s wong with their PC is MY fault and MINE alone. You don’t know the pain when a n00b comes nagging to you about how nothing is right [when they know too little of what they're talking about], and how they want everything to go THEIR way. OMFG that’s the most annoying shit I’ll ever hear.

You see, I don’t mind newbies who don’t know much. What I can’t stand, is newbies who know nothing but nag, bitch and brag like they know everything!
[/flashback]

After all that work, I took a nice shower to cool off and continue my downloads. And when one man came home…

“WTF is this cable doing on the floor!?”

Guh. And then I had to do that shit all over again.
