Leaving History in the Historical City

August 28th, 2004

This will be my last blog entry from Melaka. I’ll be leaving for KL later around 3pm, and I might not return[academically]. Therefore this entry is dedicated to over a year’s worth of joy, laughter and memories.

First off, memories of Bkt Bruang. MMU Melaka Campus, where most of the staff and facility sucks, but houses the 1337est of students and the most wicked of anime fans. A part of me feels sad to leave all that. Especially the leng luis passing by every often.

Next up, food. Cheap, tasty, and easily available food. When I meant food, I don’t mean maggi. I mean REAL food. Nasi daun pisang, char kuey teow, yong tau fu, wantan mee, burger[*drools*] etc. etc. Oh especially the RM1.00 Milo-ais-from-the-carton. YOu can never get a decent glass of carton Milo ais for less than RM1.30 anywhere else.

CBK House. This, of all the 3 houses I’ve lived in for a period over 4 trimesters, is definitely the best. I doubt can ever get a house that even rivals this one. Come on, 2 streamyx lines, 4 users on each, my room has an attached bathroom with a hot shower, fully automatic washing machine, fridge and stove. Holy shit this place is really sanctuary. It’s in this room that I actually set up the perfect room for myself. All the stuff within are mine, a study table, bookshelf, clothes rack, and finally I was able to set up my 4.1 speakers to do surround sound!

From top to bottom, left to right:
Wei Kin, Yu Xin,
Yun Chuan, How Choon,
Kensou, Me

Last but not least, the CBK housemates. Kudos to Kay Bin, Kensou, and How Choon for being the latest cool people in my life. Wei Kin for the porn [lol] and letting me show off my English and WC skills XD, Justin for the South Park and political cynicism, Yu Xin for being my loyal Warcraft kaki and anime supplier, and to save the best for the last, Yun Chuan for being a reliable skinny guy with all the jokes, stuff, info and company throughout an entire year as a classmate and an extra semester as a housemate. Oh, and not forgetting our regular guests Eu Jin for some light jokes and Wong QJfor the ‘games’, ‘entertainment’, japanese lessons, anime news and plenty of anime itself.

I love every one of you and I regret the fact that I have to leave this heaven for hell. You guys are best things that has ever happened throughout my college life. Until we meet again on lighter-hearted circumstances, take care of yourself and let us prosper!!
