..we had a barbeque. The house was lively since my parents are now enjoying the fact that they can gather all their 4 children together once again.

So the plan went like, I would teman my Dad shopping, and Husni [my 2nd bro, the VAIO owner] would marinate the stuff we bought. So we bought abt 8 chicken wings, 8 drumsticks, 7 lamb chops, and some sausages. oh, oh, and also some potatoes, some yappy veggie which I won’t bother to name[i hate veggies], and some black pepper seeds [or are they called peppercorns?] to grind.

The marinade was truly, truly simple. We cleaned the chicken, make some slits, toss them around in teriyaki sauce, oyster sauce, minced garlic and minced ginger. The lamb chops were each cut into 2 pieces [they were BIG chops] so we had abt 13, since one of them was a bit smaller than the rest. They were left to marinate in the same stuff as the chicken, except that the teriyaki sauce is replaced with mustard-lemon-herbs sauce. Uberness.

By 6pm, we had the fire going, and when it only burnt a brazier, we started grilling. My niece was like so excited that she kept nagging me for a piece of chicken, and then lamb, and then sausage, and then corn. Kids. It was also then that I found out that my sis-in-law is 33-weeks pregnant with a boy [yes, I was SO behind the news].

That was a good BBQ.

Later that night, I thought I’d called up Syafiq for some last CC session. And we did. Tiki [aka Fairuz] drove us down to Tmn Bkt Angsana and we went into SensorNet. After whopping some ass in 2 rounds of Warcraft 3, we decided to turn to CS instead. The first round was at an AWP map. I’m a horrible sniper. The next round was thankfully at Assault, where at least I can stand a chance.

But I did more than stood a chance. After a while, I realized I haven’t used the AK-47 for a long time. I’ve been mp5-ing my way around CS and that’s just basically how I played [and sucked]. So decided to give the a shot [no pun intended]. Boom, I owned them. For some reason I realized that the AK suits me very well, on non-awp maps, that is. I mean, 2 shots from an AK and you got yourself a kill. And damn, even across long distances the AK still owns. It’s an powerful as the Steyr Scout [commonly known as the four-six], but designed for close/medium ranged combat.

That was a good gaming session.

And so ends my trivial and boring holidays. Thankfully, I’m back here in Melaka with my lovely Sarah to return my sanity to me once again.
